TLC has great support from many parents. A committee was formed called Parent Advisory Committee or PAC. The PAC has a meeting once a month to keep updated on new happenings at TLC as well as discuss any issues that affect the care of our children. The PAC committee discusses topics and makes suggestions regarding the TLC tuition, sick leave, vacation time, maternity leave, etc. These are just a few of the important issues this group actively participates in. This group also becomes involved with a major fundraiser event throughout the summer called Party in the Park. About every other week throughout the summer volunteers sell pop to the community and the proceeds go to the PAC fund. The PAC use these monies throughout the year for such items as gift cards for each classroom for special supplies the teachers may need or want, to treat the staff for staff appreciation week, to fund trips for our children to go on visits to the art center/YMCA or library and to provide the TLC staff and Foster Grandmas with a nice Christmas party at the end of the year; plus much more.
