ABOUT TLC

TLC is committed to providing children with the foundation they need to enter school ready to learn.  The first five years of life are a critical window to learning.   TLC's environment and programming are designed to provide stimulation for your child's emotional and intellectual development, thus helping to ensure your child's future success.

TLC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our operating funds come from tuition, grants and the support of our community. Ask how you can support TLC!

TLC SERVICES

  • Quality childcare for children ages 6 weeks until enrolled in Kindergarten

  • Full time, part time available during regular hours

  • Infant formula provided

  • Competitive rates

  • Healthy meals and snacks. We participate in the federal child care food program

  • Comprehensive research based curriculum for all levels

  • Conveniently located in downtown Charles City

COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN

  • Nationally Recognized Early Childhood Curriculum- "Creative Curriculum" by Teaching Strategies

  • Outdoor Activities- Playtime, walks and community events

  • Nutritious Meals- Served family-style and meets federal CACFP Food Program Guidelines

  • Staff to Children Ratios- Ample classroom staffing to provide high degree of interaction and nature development

  • Foster Grandparent Program- Added dimension of nurturing and socialization

SUPPORT OF FAMILIES

  • TLC offers peace of mind for working parents

  • Extended Hours- Monday through Friday 5:30 am- 6:00 pm. Only closed 7 major holidays per year. Full time and part time care is available

  • Family-like Environment- Family activities and programming, family style meals, nurturing staff and supplemental providers

  • Parent Advisory Committee- Provides support for center staff and gives input on TLC policies, procedures and activities
